A One Day Course on the Methods and Materials of Painting and Drawing

If you are interested in developing your understanding and appreciation of the materials and methods of painting, then this course if for you.

On this course, you’ll gain a comprehensive introduction to different types of paint and mediums. You’ll study oils, egg tempera, watercolour and gouache  You’ll learn how to mix them yourself and explore the purpose of solvents and dilutants. You’ll be introduced to different ground priming methods in accordance to your medium of choice.

By the end of the course you will be able to prepare surfaces and understand many of the materials and traditional techniques that you need to know to realise your creative intentions and take your work to the next level.

 

All Levels. Beginners welcome.
