Carving in Wood and Stone

Tutor: Veronica Ricks | Frodays 10am – 4pm | 12 weeks 

Discover the timeless beauty of stone carving or the rich variety of wood’s colour and grain in this hands-on sculpture course. Whether you wish to work intuitively or develop more controlled techniques, such as figurative carving, you’ll be guided to create a personal and expressive piece. Beginners will receive a small piece of stone or wood and access to the school’s tools, with instruction in safe and effective use of carving tools and finishing methods. More experienced carvers will work alongside and develop their skills further in a supportive environment.

Suitable for beginners and experienced sculptors alike. Some materials are provided; please check the materials list below for further requirements.
