Artist Bio

“As a painter, Sally is inspired by colour, pattern and shape. Her paintings start from these points of interest often combining observational painting and images from experience and memories.

Based in her London studio, Sally divides her time between investigating new subjects and painting commissions. She works mainly in oils, painting from life and reference material, including photographs, textile designs and her imagination”

The Post-Diploma Course in Figurative Painting is an exciting and challenging one-year course. It’s intended to offer a period of development and transition between graduate studies in figurative painting or portraiture and starting out on your own as an independent artist, a difficult period for student painters to negotiate. The fundamental aim of the course is to give well-rounded support in dealing with the inevitable challenge of selecting painting as a life-choice activity and embarking on a career as a painter.
