NEW: Modelling a 2/3 Scale Torso from Life

Tutor: Laura Postle | Tuesdays 10am-4pm | 12 weeks

Learn how to accurately observe, measure, and model the human torso in clay from life.
You will develop skills in proportion, structure, and anatomical understanding to build a convincing sculptural form.

The course begins with constructing a wooden armature to support the figure. Using a traditional approach inspired by the Florence Academy, you will then model the torso in clay, combining careful measurement with anatomical knowledge to achieve accuracy and presence.

On the last weeks you will cast your sculptures using the waste moulding technique.
