Printmaking: Exploring Etching
This etching course is suitable for all levels and abilities. It also makes an ideal introduction to the exciting world of printmaking for beginners.
Starting with monoprint, you’ll explore a wide range of etching techniques from the drawn line to creating tone with aquatint.
You’ll explore techniques including hardground, softground, drypoint and colour printing. There will also be the option of trying linocut and woodcut.
You can work from observation or bring your own drawings and imagery for inspiration.
By the end of the course you’ll have a portfolio of prints to take home.
