About Susan Wilson
As well as being a visiting tutor at Heatherleys, Susan is a Senior Member of Faculty at The Royal Drawing School. She was a member of the “Drop in Drawing” Friday Lates team at The National Portrait Gallery for many years. During these session she gave talks on works and taught drawing from the collection.
Susan’s portraits are in public collections in the UK and New Zealand.
Students attending Susan’s Drop In Sessions at Heatherleys will be encouraged to make exploratory drawings whilst painting. Wilson often reads to the class and may talk to the model to maintain focus and encourage engagement with the model throughout the day.
All levels welcome.
