Description
In these Open Studio sessions, we will be painting from a life model. I will set up a ‘classic’ (reclining) pose taking inspiration from art history as well as from my own love of working from the human figure. I will draw on ideas from my many years of painting women at leisure, as bathers or in the landscape with regard to a colour scheme and a pose that could reflect this theme. It will be an opportunity for a sustained analytical approach when working from direct observation and at the same time allow for imaginative interpretations of a narrative.
