Description
3 Thursday Evenings
This taster course will introduce you to the traditional Japanese form of water-based woodblock printmaking (Mokuhanga) and is ideal for beginners as well as those with more experience. We will use watercolour pigments, and do not require a press or use toxic solvents.
Beginners will be able to produce a small one or two colour edition of around three to six prints, which can be further developed after the three sessions.
More experienced artists with some knowledge of relief printing, such as woodcut or linocut, may produce a small two or three colour edition.
