12 Thursdays

This course will introduce you to the skills required for modelling either the figure or the portrait from a life model. Each term there will be two poses, each lasting six weeks. You will be guided in the use of terracotta clay using a measuring technique and working with modelling tools. You will learn how to prepare the completed sculpture for firing in the kiln should you wish to do so. Firing is done at an additional cost.
If you have your own tools please bring them with you, making sure they are marked with your name or some form of permanent personal identification.

All levels of ability are welcome.

‘Excellent tuition, Rob clearly really enjoys teaching. The more traditional measurement techniques were covered at an early stage then classes were flexibly tailored to the individual encouraging the development of your own style. Would highly recommend.’ Katie P.
