Photographs from the Annual Exhibition Private View 2015

This year’s Private View saw a number of landmarks. Alongside celebrating our 170th birthday we welcomed sculptor Nicola Hicks as our new President of Heatherleys. She follows Tom Phillips CBE R.A. who recently stepped down after many years with us.

The evening also served as an opportunity to thank Susan Engledow who has expertly run our Portrait Diploma since the 1990’s. She is handing the reins over to Tim Benson, though she will remain part of our faculty and teach in the Open Studio.

Our student Prize Winners on the night were:

Miguel Sopena - The Heatherley Prize for Printmaking.
Rebecca Hathaway - The Heatherley Prize for Portraiture.
Margi Leman - The Lee & Thompson LLP Prize.
Franke Vassell - The Heatherley Prize for Sculpture.
Sophie de Carvalho - The Uta Brouet Prize for Sculpture.
Berni Timko - The Daphne Todd Prize for Portraiture.
