Jennifer Montagu Lecture: From the Quarry to the Church


Marble Sculpture in 17th Century Rome

Jennifer Montagu is an art historian who has specialised in the study of Italian Baroque Sculpture.

During her career she has been the Slade Professor of Fine Art and fellow of Jesus College Cambridge. Among her publications are Roman Baroque Sculpture (Yale University Press 1989), Alessandro Algardi (Yale University Press 1985) and Gold Silver and Bronze: metal sculpture of the Roman Baroque (Princeton University Press 1996).

Jennifer Montagu was awarded a CBE for her services to Art History in 2012.
