Alison Smith - The Victorian Art World: An illustrated lecture

In this talk Alison Smith (Curator, Tate Britain) looks at some of the artists, art schools and institutions that made up the dynamic art world of Victorian Britain. Special attention will be given to artists with a Heatherley’s connection.

Dr Alison Smith is Lead Curator of Nineteenth-Century British Art at Tate Britain. She has organised several exhibitions there including Exposed: The Victorian Nude (2002),Millais (2007), Watercolour (2011) and Pre-Raphaelites: Victorian Avant-Garde (2012).

This event is free and open to the public but seating is limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
