Course
Description
Introductory courses at Heatherley provide a basic
grounding in the principles of drawing. These courses
have been devised for students who would like to
establish a foundation of observational and investigative
drawing processes. Largely studio based, they mainly
focus on still-life and life model subject matter.

Students
taking general life drawing courses are taught to
represent the human form in a range of media such
as pencil, charcoal, pen and wash, pastel and watercolour.
All aspects of drawing are explored including composition,
perspective and the use of colour in order to build
confidence and to offer new creative opportunities.
There is also a figurative oil painting course. |
